Our Story
Diesel, hybrid, or zero carbon methanol fuel – we do it efficiently
Archipelago Expedition Yachts are committed to sustainability wherever possible. We reduce our impact through the use of low-carbon construction, recyclable materials, and alternative fuels.
Our methanol-fuelled Archipelago zero.63 uses bio-methanol and solar arrays to produce a hugely capable, long-range vessel with minimal environmental impact. No other manufacturer is committing to this level of carbon reduction. We expect to roll out this technology to all of our vessels by 2040, giving the opportunity to explore the world whilst remaining carbon neutral.

Sustainability and a reduced environmental impact are paramount in the philosophy of Archipelago Expedition Yachts. Aluminum has a lower environmental impact than traditional GRP, and has the added benefit of being able to be recycled at the end of the vessel’s life. We have also designed the boats from the start to be able to take electric, and hybrid diesel-electric drive systems. The large roof area allows for a huge solar array, generating enough power to run air-conditioning and domestic electrical systems at mid-latitudes.
Our shallow draft and silent running allows you to get closer to nature, without disturbing the surrounds or your experience.
